Col LIVES: A real life update!

Col Eats Promotion

Welcome back foodie!

You may remember me thanking you in my last post for your patience whilst I went about life, and that my exciting development was a story for another day. Well, that day has arrived!

I've been working my little socks off recently and it turns out it was all worth it, as I have accepted a Team Manager position at my company, and started my new role last week.

!!OMG!!

I've moved to a new office working for a new client, with a new style of business and a new approach, but most importantly in a real manager's position. Still can't really believe that - I have to keep reminding myself I'm a TM and not just a newbie!

It's hard work, even at just over a week into it I'm getting a glimpse of what's to come and it's both terrifying and exhilarating. Good job I've got the BEST Operations Manager there is taking me under her wing - beyond proud at how much belief she has in me. Without her and my old manager/s I wouldn't be where I am today. Actually I have to say, the entire management team at the office have been so supportive and enthusiastic - thanks guys!

It was very sad saying farewell to my colleagues of the last last 2 and a bit years. We're all so close, like family, so it was a tough decision but I'm in no doubt that I've done exactly the right thing for me. It's come at a great time too, as Mr H is settling into his new-ish job and what a fabulous way to start the new year!

Still got a bit emotional though!

Col Eats Promotion Card

Not had a massive amount of time for celebrations so far, but it's birthday party time for me this week, so I'm sure a toast to my promotion is also in order! We're actually going to a lovely restaurant I've never been to before so watch this space for photos and a review.

On that light bite I shall say goodnight, and hope to see you back soon for some amazing eats.

~ Til next time, work hard and be nice. Col ~
